A 360 review is a process in which employees receive confidential, anonymous reviews from the people who work around them. This typically includes the employee’s manager, peers, and direct reports. Usually eight to 12 people in various positions fill out an anonymous online review form with questions covering a broad range of workplace competencies. The review forms, or 360 tools, include questions that are measured on a rating scale but also allow for written comments. The person being reviewed fills out a self-rating survey that includes the same survey questions the reviewers used.
